How does CBD Oil work?

Cannabinoids, found in the Cannabis sativa plant, number over 80. The most well-known part of cannabis is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). But CBD comes from hemp, which is a type of the Cannabis sativa plant that has very little THC. CBD seems to change how some chemicals in the brain work, but these changes are different from what THC does.

In 2018, the US government made it legal to sell hemp and hemp products. But that doesn’t mean that all hemp-based CBD products are legal. Since CBD Oil for Anxiety is a legal drug that can only be bought with a doctor’s prescription. CBD can only be in products that are “cosmetic.” But you can still buy CBD products that say they are dietary supplements. Not all of these products have the same amount of CBD as what is written on the label.

Most likely to help with seizure disorder (epilepsy). It’s not clear if other kinds of CBD help with seizures or not. For now, stick with the product that your doctor prescribed.

CBD is being looked at for use in a number of other ways, but there isn’t enough reliable information to say if it would be helpful.

Multiple sclerosis could be helped by this (MS). A nasal spray called Sativex from GW Pharmaceuticals that contains both 9-delta-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol and is only available with a doctor’s prescription has been shown to help people with MS with pain, tight muscles, and the need to go to the bathroom more often. This product is used in more than 25 countries other than the US. But there are different kinds of evidence about how well cannabidiol works on its own to treat multiple sclerosis symptoms.

Consequences

CBD may be safe to take by mouth if taken in the right amounts. Up to 13 weeks of safe use have been seen with daily doses of up to 200 mg. With the help of a doctor.

CBD can cause some side effects, like dry mouth, low blood pressure, feeling dizzy, and falling asleep. People who took a lot of Epidiolex, which is a prescription form of CBD, also showed signs of liver damage.

If you put it on your skin: There isn’t enough reliable information to know if CBD is safe or what its side effects might be.

Caution and Special Warnings

Being pregnant and nursing: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it may not be safe to take CBD. CBD products can have other ingredients in them that could be harmful to the fetus or baby. To be safe, you should not use it.

Children: It may be safe for children to take up to 25 mg/kg of CBD by mouth every day from a prescription product called Epidiolex. This product can be used on kids who are at least 1 year old and have certain conditions. It’s not clear whether other CBD products are safe for kids or not.

Liver disease: CBD doses may need to be lower for people with liver disease.

Parkinson’s disease: Early research suggests that taking a lot of CBD might make some people’s muscle movement and tremors worse.
